Jessica Payano

Jessica Payano is an independent education consultant. Jessica was a science teacher in middle and high schools in Brooklyn, NY. The majority of Jessica’s high school teaching experience was at The International High School at Prospect Heights where she taught 11th and 12th grade science to a diverse student body of MLLs. Jessica also served as an instructional coach for the Internationals Network for Public Schools through which she supported teachers around New York City in best practices for teaching MLLs. She also worked supporting new teachers in the New York City teaching fellows program and taught English as a Foreign Language in China, Cameroon, and online to children around the world.

Jessica earned a BA in biology from Manhattanville College and MST from Pace University. She was awarded a Fund for Teachers fellowship in 2014, and Pace University’s Seidenberg’s School of Computer Science and Information System’s Educator’s Mentorship Award. Jessica speaks an intermediate level of Spanish and resides outside of Atlanta, Ga with her husband and daughter.
