CD Webinar 3: How Do You Know Your ELA, SLA, and Math Materials are Working for Multilingual Learners?

Event Details
ELSF's Guidelines have long served as the research-based foundation and vision for instructional materials that are inclusive of multilingual learners. Now, that vision has a concrete expression: Product Features, observable and measurable elements for product teams that outline what to build, what to track, and what to put on the roadmap. This session introduces a concrete way to define quality for multilingual learners across ELA, SLA, and math materials. Attendees will see specific elements within a curriculum that can be pointed out, evaluated, and acted upon. The session walks through a few of these elements in practice. It covers what strong implementation looks like and where materials commonly miss the mark.
OBJECTIVES
- See what it looks like when multilingual learner quality standards become concrete, observable elements inside ELA, SLA, and math materials
- Walk through a few of these elements in practice, including what strong implementation looks like and where materials commonly fall short
- Leave with questions worth asking about how your own ELA, SLA, and math materials measure up
AUDIENCE
- Chiefs and VPs of Product or Academics at publishers who set the direction for ELA, SLA, and math curricula
- Content Developers, Editorial Directors, and Product Directors shaping the instructional design and content standards those materials are built on
