Dr. Wei-Wei Lou is a life-long educator with four decades of experiences in K to 12 and higher education, advocating, designing, developing, and implementing quality services and programs for English language learners, students with disabilities, and students living in poverty situations. Currently she is an education faculty with a research interest in the success of English language learners. She serves on numerous professional committees working on the issues of English Learner students as well as professional development and mentoring/coaching of teachers. She has led numerous review and evaluation sessions of curriculum materials for general education contents and developed assessment tools and materials for students at different levels and with different needs. Wei-Wei has taught language acquisition theory and classroom strategies to teachers of English language learners at graduate level for the past 15 years.
