Lisa is a former teacher, coach and administrator who worked in New York City schools and at the district level for over 15 years. She is currently the Principal Investigator and Senior Project Director at Bridges to Academic Success, a City University of New York-based project at the Graduate Center, where she leads the work of the curriculum and professional development teams, designing resources for teachers of SLIFE and newcomers. In this role, she works with schools and districts throughout New York State and other parts of the country on their school improvement plans for multilingual learners. She received her PhD in Urban Education at the CUNY Graduate Center. Lisa also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hunter College in Educational Leadership.
