Bisola Neil leads with her why and knows her life's work is to create safe and responsive learning environments where children, adults and families self-master their personal, professional and academic goals. As a former NYCDOE classroom teacher and current educational researcher and national consultant, Bisola is a details-oriented, systems-thinker and visionary. Bisola has worked across multiple elementary, and secondary teacher education and is currently professor of Progressive Leadership Education at Bank Street College of Education. Bisola has a track record of results which include increased teacher retention, student achievement and credit accumulation.
Bisola is a staunch advocate for all students to be educated in a space where each individual potential is seen, heard, valued and leveraged. Therefore, her work in providing program development, curriculum design, data analysis, teacher and leadership coaching, is delivered with care and hyper-focused on honoring and the cultural capital of all students.
Bisola holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education with a concentration in Mathematics Education and Educational Policy from the Graduate Center, CUNY, a M.Ed. in Leadership in Mathematics Education from Bank Street College of Education, an M.Ed. in Mathematics Education from City College, CUNY and a B.S. in Public Affairs from Baruch College, CUNY.
