Aly Jaquith is the English as a New Language Coordinator at Mott Haven Academy Charter School in the Bronx, NY where she trains teachers and continues to work directly with students supporting their linguistic and academic growth. She previously worked as a 1st and 2nd grade bilingual teacher in Chicago, IL, where her passion for working with English Learners was sparked. Aly continues to draw inspiration from her students’ individual journeys in acquiring English in one of the most diverse cities in the world.
Aly graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont with a degree in Political Science, Psychology, and Spanish. She earned her M.S. in Education Studies from Johns Hopkins University and her TESOL Certificate from Hunter College in NY.
