California’s math curriculum adoption cycle offers a critical opportunity to improve math instruction for over 5 million students—including 1.1 million multilingual learners (MLLs).

With two-thirds of students performing below basic proficiency on the Nation’s Report Card and only 10% of English learners meeting math standards in California, the urgency for change is clear.

Join us for this free, 45 minute webinar to explore ELSF’s newly updated Math Curriculum Adoption Toolkit—designed to help districts ensure that selected materials are aligned with the 2023 California Mathematics Framework and meet the diverse linguistic needs of all students.

We’ll also highlight how leaders can guide and support local education agencies (LEAs) throughout the adoption process, and how ELSF’s professional learning services can enhance this work.

What You’ll Gain

  • Clarity on how to center equity and access throughout the curriculum adoption process
  • Concrete tools, including sample RFP language and MLL-centered reviews of materials to guide adoption decisions aligned with 2023 California Math Framework
  • Action steps for school board members and leaders to collaboratively create a plan with district leadership
  • Awareness of ELSF’s professional learning offerings to support math adoption and implementation across LEAs

Intended Audience

  • District and School Education Leaders
